Supported transport layers

CopyCat support several transport layers for connecting to your databases. In a secure environment such as a private LAN or a VPN, you may choose to simply connect directly to the database (using the database’s native network protocol). If you are connecting over the Internet however, it’s often preferable to use one of the following supported transports :
  • XML-RPC : CopyCat includes a Delphi XML-RPC implementation that you can use.
  • RTC : Real Thin Client library
  • DataSnap : Supported in versions XE5 and over.
Using a transport layer implies that you need to have a transport server running so as to actually perform the connection to the database. <DIAGRAM TO EXPLAIN> <LINK TO EXAMPLES IN BLOG SECTION>
